Oven or Nothin’

The brief was refreshingly straightforward: create an eatery as honest as the food. Working within one of the retail units of Marks Barfield’s celebrated mixed-use development, winner of a BCO London Award for Best Commercial Workplace – we needed to translate the founder’s vision for wholesome, unprocessed food into spatial reality.

We designed a commercial kitchen with modern systems that prioritise functionality over flash, a serving counter that encourages interaction rather than transaction, and a dining area where customers feel welcomed rather than rushed. Natural materials and clean lines mirror the founder’s unprocessed ethos – thoughtful details supporting both operational efficiency and the relaxed atmosphere that makes grabbing breakfast or lunch here feel special.

"Bluum helped transform an empty space into our dream project, bringing our first restaurant to life. We’re so happy with the results and loved working with the entire team from start to finish.”
